Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Munim (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our Android app and this website. We built Munim so shopkeepers can keep clear hisab — and we treat shop data with the same care.
1. Information we collect
- Account data — name, email, and profile photo when you sign in with Google (via Firebase Authentication).
- Shop business data you enter — customers/suppliers (parties), bills, ledger entries, products, stock levels, and related notes stored in Firebase Firestore for your account.
- Optional device permissions — contacts (to import parties), camera (barcode scan), and microphone (spoken orders), only when you grant them. We do not upload your full contact book without your action.
- Device & diagnostics — basic app and device information needed to run securely and fix crashes.
- Advertising data (free plan) — if you use the free tier, Google AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and interaction data to show ads. Pro users do not see ads in-app.
2. How we use information
- Provide billing, khata, stock, and sync across your signed-in devices.
- Secure your account and prevent abuse.
- Improve reliability and features.
- Show ads on the free plan (via Google AdMob).
- Respond to support requests you send us.
3. Legal bases / consent
We process data to perform the service you request, to meet security and legal obligations, and — where required — based on your consent (for example, optional permissions and personalized ads preferences).
4. Sharing
We do not sell your shop ledger data. We share information only with:
- Google Firebase — Authentication and Firestore hosting for your account and shop data.
- Google AdMob — to serve ads on the free plan. SeeGoogle’s Privacy Policy.
- Service providers that help us operate the app, under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and shop data while your account is active. If you delete your account (seeDelete your account), we delete or anonymize associated personal data from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records for legal or security reasons.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, authenticated access, Firebase security rules). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect your Google account.
7. Children’s privacy
Munim is intended for shop owners and staff, not for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us athello@munim.app.

10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, when changes are material, provide additional notice in the app or on this site.
